When people here the term "Getting Healthier" the minds seems to suddenly shift to exercise and diets. The truth is that it is so much more than that. Your mind, body soul and spirit all connect into one. So, you can be as thin as you want, but you can still be unhealthy.
What you think one of the biggest things you can observe about yourself. If you think you cant do something or that something will always go wrong or you just simply live in the doubt of everything, then, it is time to re-program your mind. I recently saw a TV show called The Talk where they had a piece on Opera and her actual mantra is "I AM" she contributes her success to these two words.
It makes sense to sat I AM! if you are, then you are, even if you are not at the time you are saying it. By saying the two words I AM you are actually bringing that world into existence. You see, if you think about it, you become everything you think and say. Look around you and you will see what you believe about yourself. If you think and say, I never have any money... guess what? Your never going to have any money. If you say and think, well that happened for so and so, but that will never happen for me, guess what? You will never see it happen for you. Life is what you focus on. Ask yourself what you are focusing on right now. what takes center stage in your mind? Is it positive or negative?
It should be positive. If it is not positive, then you should replace that thought with something positive.
Instead of saying to yourself, I hate this car, I need a new car, the windows wont go up and down correctly, its burning oil, the air conditioning don't work and I'm here sweating to death while all these other people are driving their nice cars not worrying about a thing. Why don't they hurry up and get out of my way and then you just keep on and on about it and that turns into everything else that is wrong in your life and all this happens in the 20 minute commute to your work. Wow its a good thing that you don't have an hour commute right?
So, try saying this instead. I have this car and though it has some issues, I am grateful for having transportation to get me to work, it wont be long until I get my new (fill in the blank) ________________car. Today is going to be a great day.
Now, when you visualize your new car, think about how it feels to drive, the smell, that air conditioning blowing in your face. The feeling of accomplishment and success that you are. You have to feel like you are right there and already have it. So, go test drive your car. You cant just say " I want a new car, you have to say I want a 2017 Black Mercedes with leather seats (or what ever car you want), they have one at (what ever car lot there is in your town) you have to see it, smell it, feel it in your hands. Say I AM the owner of a black 2017 Mercedes. then repeat it over and over. you must believe it will happen, it can happen to you, you deserve it.
Believe that you are amazing. Believe that you are put on this earth for great things. Believe that YOU CAN. Expect the unexpected, expect great and wonderful things.
WAIT... don't forget to use this for everything...

With all that I have shared with you today, I hope you expect major changes by changing your thinking. Remember what you think becomes where you are and what you have in life. The thing about life is, its always changing and what we think about is what changes it. If you are saying right now heh, my life hasn't changed in years. It's because your thinking hasn't changed, you are still stuck in what ever mode brought you there to where you are in your life right now. It wont be until you consciously make a decision and take a new step in a different direction and actually do it. That will start the domino effect I call it, as transition into a new confident, wonderful life. I challenge you to make your own list of I AM. write it in your own hand writing and carry it with you and tape it to your car dashboard, put it in your kitchen, bathroom, your favorite place to sit. You then should read it over and over all the time.
Next, I want you to give. give something to someone. to propel things into motion, your life needs to be positive. to start a positive life you should do something positive. Start small if you want.. say hello to someone. offer to help someone put groceries into their car. donate something you don't use anymore to the homeless shelter or buy a toy for a child in need this Christmas. When you give in the world, the world gives back to you in so many ways. you may give a gift to a young person in need, and suddenly you get that breakthrough at work you've been dreaming about. One day you may give someone a ride somewhere and two months later you get a flat tire in the middle of nowhere and suddenly the highway patrol comes and helps you, which just happens to be a friend of the family that you haven't seen for years and then you develop a new relationship with him and connect in ways that propel your life in ways you have never dreamt of.
Every time I have a really bad day, I go give something away or do something for someone else. I really literally laugh at issues that come up because they are so funny in the way they are trying to stop me from having a good day. It happened one day when it was one thing after another and another and then finally my car broke down. I was so frustrated that I just laughed because it was just another thing that happened, by now I was so used to things happening that it didn't even effect me, it was just one more thing to deal with. Laughter is key, to laugh is to tell the problem, that it is not a problem, its just a thing. When you believe that "this too shall pass" is real, you can get through things.
That's all I have time for today. Work on getting your mind healthy by putting the positive in front of the negative. Tell yourself and the world by saying your list of I AM as much as you can. Remember... life is what you believe in. When your in a negative funky mood, go do something for someone else, or give something. Laugh at negativity because it has no control over you unless you let it.
